Sir Keir Starmer has downplayed the prospect that a full peace agreement has been reached in Ukraine.
Asked about reports in the US, the Prime Minister said it was likely an update to the Geneva talks that took place over the weekend, rather than a full and complete agreement.
He told MPs: “I suspect it won’t be the whole of the agreement that needs to be reached.
“I’ll have a look at the report and look behind the headline.
“If there is anything material to report, I will of course do it.”
Sir Keir Starmer has warned there is a “tough road ahead” to secure peace in Ukraine.
“There’s still a long way to go and a tough road ahead, but we’re more committed than ever to this cause and to keeping pushing forward on this process,” the Prime Minister told parliament this afternoon.
