Hundreds of protesters have stormed the US Consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, smashing windows hours after Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in a joint US-Israeli attack.
Police and paramilitary forces used batons and fired tear gas to disperse the crowd, according to local police.
At least eight people were killed in clashes and several others wounded in clashes between protesters and security forces, an official said.
It comes after hundreds of Iraqis attempted to storm Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone, where the US embassy is located.
